Since the establishment of KWASU in 2009, it has institutionalized the practice of strategic planning system, the goals and core values of which are in line with the vision and mission of its founding fathers. The University has launched and implemented two versions of Strategic Plans namely; 2009-2014 and 2014-2019 respectively. In order to ensure that the goals, objectives and core values of these plans were in tune with the aspirations of the founding fathers of KWASU, the University formulated for each plan a well, thorough researched performance metrics and strategic management. Moreover, it is also important to emphasize that the various TETFund Interventions such as Normal, Special and High Impact Interventions largely formed a significant source of funding the Strategic Plans and as such have had great impact on the actualization of our goals, objectives and core values. Cumulatively, these have impacted positively on the ranking of the Institution among top tier Nigerian universities in terms of quality of graduate outputs, innovativeness, and distinctive academic programs. The pre TETFund Interventions period in KWASU was characterized by huge infrastructural deficit. Besides, the composition of the pioneer teaching staff in the University was lopsided and grossly inappropriate to meet minimum staff mix and minimum PhD holders required by NUC to secure accreditation of programmes. The TETFund era ushered in a platform to reverse these trends and therefore enhance the core functions of the University namely: teaching, learning, research, and community development. Ultimately, the unflinching support from the donor agency improved the quality of academic program and teaching staff of our dear University.

With continued TETFund support, it is our belief that the attendant infrastructural and staff development will enable the University to achieve the envisioned ‘’world class status of the 21st century University.

Over the years, KWASU has judiciously managed the utilization of the various TETFund Interventions since the year 2009. The projects so far executed had positively influenced our service delivery and greatly redressed the foregoing lopsidedness. These interventions were in terms of the following:

  1. Physical Projects
  1. Staff Trainings and Development
  1. Research Interventions
  1. Development of Manuscripts into Books
  1. Journal Publications
