The Executive Director of Agriculture and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Ilorin, Dr. Olufemi Oladunni has called for more collaboration between the Institute and Kwara State University
Dr. Oladunni made this call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN, on Thursday, 20th of August, 2020.
While congratulating Prof. Akanbi on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Dr. Oladunni advocated for greater collaboration especially in the area of training, stressing that ARMTI’s main assignment is to develop capacity in Agriculture and Rural Management
Dr. Oladunni said further that KWASU’s core mandate as a university for community development is in tandem with some of the activities of ARMTI in rural community development, hence the need for a healthy collaboration between the two institutions.
In his response the Vice Chancellor of KWASU said that the relationship between ARMTI and the University has always been cordial and KWASU is ready to build on the existing relationship.
He urged the Executive Director to come up with concrete proposals on areas where the different opportunities which ARMTI presents can be of benefit not only to KWASU but Kwara State and humanity in general.
