The sad news of the death of a staff of Kwara State University, Alhaji Naphew Apaokagi was received with great shock by the staff and management of the university.
Alhaji Naphew Apaokagi who was a Lecturer in the Department of Creative Art and Tourism died in the early hours of Friday the 17th of July 2020 in Ilorin, Kwara State.
In a condolence message to the family of the deceased signed by the Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN, said the late Apaokagi, a pioneer Lecturer in the department, was committed to the advancement of knowledge.
He said Dr. Apaokagi, who was also a former Chairman of National Polytechnic Accreditation Committee, was a scholar greatly respected by his colleagues and students alike for his professionalism.
The Vice Chancellor urged the family to take solace in the good name and enduring legacies left behind by the Late Dr. Apaokagi.
Praying Almighty Allah to over look the human mistakes of the late Lecturer, forgive his sins and admit him into Aljannah Firdaus, the Vice Chancellor also beseeched Allah to grant the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
