Vice-chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN ably represented by the University’s Director of Academic Planning and Institutional Research, Professor Abdulrauf Ambali, has commended the financial intervention of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND in the university.
The astute administrator made this disclosure at the annual Joint TETFund/FIRS Interactive Forum held in Ilorin on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
Professor Akanbi, however, expressed his unabated appreciation to TETFund, noting that the continuing intervention of the agency has brought about enviable human capital and infrastructural development at the university.
The university don said notable among the agency’s project interventions at the institution is the newly constructed ultramodern library which is adjudged one of the best in Africa.
Speaking at the forum, the agency’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim Imam gave assurance that TETFund would not renege on its commitment to be a major driver of infrastructural revolution across various public higher institutions in the country.
The chairman further stated that the agency under his tutelage would continue to deliver on his mandate efficiently.
The event was concluded with inspection of the newly built library and other TETFund financed projects at the Kwara State University.
